Who, What, Where

We're nearing the end of August, almost time for Autumn and to bust out the hats and scarves! (pssst check out the site for a great selection of knitwear and autumnal accessories...click HERE)

Here's our round up of events for this week...

Clear out your calendar if you're in Sweden this week as it's time for Sweden's biggest fashion event. Started in 2005 Stockholm Fashion Week has become really well known and anticipated as a chance to see who's new in the Swedish fashion scene. With designers such as, Cheap Monday, Mes Dames, J.Lindberg, Hunkydory and Marimekko showing their work it's bound to be a brilliant week.
Sweden has become known for their seemingly effortlessly cool style so I'm sure that there will be a whole host of images online for you to feast your eyes on if you aren't able to make it!

Another week of fashion but this time in Beunos Aires... BAAM Argentina Fashion week is also on from today! Taking place at the Beunos Aires Sheraton Hotel there will be runway shows, talks and workshops on the latest trends. Unlike most Fashion Weeks most of the shows in Argentina are open to all to attend. Do expect long queues though and don't be fashionably late!

For those of you local to Bristol why not head to the Arnolfini to see Yorgos Sapountzis: The Protagonists a collection of large scale installations that express the relationship between public spaces and our bodies in those spaces and around those monuments. Sapountzis oftern uses a public monument such as sculptures in town squares as the starting point for his pieces, these make his work representative of the everyday experience in the city.
Running until September 15th this exhibition will also host sound pieces in collaboration with Norweigan mucisian Øyvind Torvund.
