Who, What, Where?

How is everyone enjoying the sun? Hopefully it's here to stay and here's some events you could get down to this week!

For the fashionistas out there get yourself to Bath Fashion Museum for Laura Ashley: The Romantic Heroine exhibition and get to see some gorgeous dresses that capture the look that Laura Ashley gave people in the 1960s and 70s. Laura Ashley pushed the style of the romantic heroine (think the milkmaid form Tess of the D'urbevilles or Cathy from Wuthering Heights) into the forefront of fashion, capturing the zeitgeist of the time.

With around 70 dresses being showcased and at the time of Laura Ashleys 60th Anniversary this is wonderful chance to go and get a feel for the nostalgia of the brand and maybe get some fashion inspiration for yourself! There's a whole host of fabulous exhibitions on at the Bath Museum that are worth having a look at too so click HERE to find out more...

For some family fun or even just if you enjoy a bit of whimsy and art then the Gromit Unleashed trail is definitely for you. If you live in Bristol then you may have already spotted a few wacky looking Gromits around and about!
Newshound at Bristol Museum and Art Gallery.
Aardman and Wallace and Gromit's Grand Appeal have set up Gromit Unleashed which is a public exhibition of 80 5ft sculptures of Gromit decorated by invited artists and well, unleashed around Bristol and some surrounding areas!
When the trail ends on September 8th the sculptures will be auctioned for charity and the money raised will go to Wallace and Gromit's grand appeal, the Bristol Children's Hospital charity.
